Long time no see!
I didn't mean to be MIA this last month, but time has really gotten away from me.
Between prepping for my trip to Thailand, exploring a new country for two whole weeks, and returning with MAJOR jet lag, it has been a little difficult getting back into the swing of things.
However, I'm finally back to a normal routine and excited to share not only my adventures, but some new outfits on the blog.
Although, after maxing out my computer's memory and not being able to figure out the GoPro Desktop software, it's taken more time than usual to put together some new posts (I feel like I need to hire a personal admin to organize all the photos and videos from this past month!).

Prior to jetting off, I scooped up this dress along with a few other pieces when Victoria Beckham's collaboration with Target premiered.
So why did I gravitate toward this specific dress? You can never go wrong with a good shirt dress - they are pretty versatile and great for most occasions. From the daily corporate grind to a casual outing, this look is perfect.
This dress also has a tailored fit in the back, which provides a nice, flowy silhouette.  As a result, this fit is flattering and doesn't make you look like a potato sack the way some shirt dresses often make women look :)

With mules and slides being the big shoe trend this year, I had been searching high and low for the perfect pair.
I know these ones from Nordstrom have been worn by many bloggers; however, I like to go against the grain at times and offer some different pieces that would normally go unnoticed or wouldn't receive the attention they deserve. So, I opted for a pair that was just as stylish, but a little more unique.
Enter the Louise et Cie Bylot mules.
The leather is soft and the twist versus the bow are the perfect detailing.
Given the incredible fit and high degree of comfort, I've been wearing them to the office and with basically all my outfits since they've arrived.

STYLE TIP
When buying your summer dresses with a more shift fit, find something with darting or tailoring in the back to pull in the fabric; this ensures that you can obtain some type of curve accentuation while still maintaining that flowy feel.
