Sometimes you just need to get away.
To think. To recharge. To just breathe.
Life can (and does) get overwhelming at moments and removing yourself from your normal grind is exactly what you need to reset.
Luckily, this past Friday I hopped into my car after work and headed out of town for a reboot.
I met two of my college roommates(one is Tara from Lace & Grace) in Richmond, Virginia for a much needed girls weekend.
Friday night we celebrated an old friend's birthday who also happened to be in town from NYC.
We ended up dancing the night away at a local bar which was the perfect release
after my very long work week.
after my very long work week.
Saturday was much more relaxing.
We woke up and headed to Charlottesville, Virginia for a winery day.
We woke up and headed to Charlottesville, Virginia for a winery day.
I used to visit Charlottesville frequently in college but it has been years since I had last been.
Also, I had never visited any of their famed wineries, so I was really excited to go.
We had originally planned on visiting a different winery but decided to go to Jefferson Vineyard last minute and I am so glad we did.
The views were great a the vineyard and I really enjoyed the wines that we tasted.
Normally I am not a big Rosé fan but I really liked theirs.
The Meritage and the Chardonnay were also favorites of mine.

For $10 you really get a deal getting to try 10 different varieties plus the ability to keep your wine glass.
After our tasting, we broke out our sweet picnic spread to snack on and caught up with the beautiful mountain scenery.
There are few things I find more perfect than sitting with some of your best friends, drinking wine, and enjoying a mountain view.
This dress and heels were the perfect medication to help me find my center.
I normally don't go for maxi dress for my frame but I couldn't resist this one from SheIn.
The print is perfect and the slit made me feel like Angelina which was quite
the confidence booster.
These heels are also insanely comfortable despite the height.
They are 5 inches high but I wore them all weekend and my feet still love me.
Even though it is May here in Virginia the 50 degree weather makes this
faux leather jacket 100% necessary,
