Busy doesn't begin to explain how jammed my weekends have been recently.
From blogging events, to work functions, and pre-planned activities I have been keeping very busy.
Thankfully with blogging it doesn't ever really feel like working it just feels like I get to attend fun events and meet new interesting people

The event was great! Some great drinks, some yummy samples of local Bethesda Row restaurants (Luke’s Lobster!), and obviously some great clothes.
I invited my friend Deanna along to experience it all with me.
It was a little muggy out but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the fashion show and exploring the shops afterwards.
The fashion show was hosted by DC Newsbash anchors Laura Evans, Autria Godfrey, Angie Goff, Alexandra Limon, Jummy Olabanji, Lauryn Ricketts, Andrea Roane and Shawn Yancy that supported a great cause, the Capital Breast Cancer Center.
The best thing (or possibly the worst thing because I wanted so many items! ) was that all the pieces in the show were available immediately in the various shops.
I discovered a few new lines (Solid + Striped) and brands (Kit + Ace | Sugarfina).
There were a few things that I really wish I could have walked about with (this jumpsuit is amazing; this vest is something I NEED in my closet ASAP).
Like I mentioned, after the show we wandered around the stores.
There were bites & beverages in most of the stores and a fun little bingo game to get us exploring.
The shop I fell most in love with was Sugarfina.
I have began to grow a sweet tooth and this place totally quenches my candy desires.
The store is so beautiful and all the candy is almost too pretty to eat.
It was my roommate's birthday in a few days so I had to snag her some goodies - I mean how can someone walk away without anything?!
I ended up wearing this awesome double breasted blazer from Banana Republic.
Everything about the blazer I am obsessed with - the color, the fit, the fabric.
It may be a little warm to wear this blazer on a nonstop blazer at the moment but I am counting down the days until cooler weather when I can basically live in this blazer.
