To make Flashback Friday extremely appropriate why not to talk about the trend I thought I would ever wear again : the denim skirt.
I remember a moment in college where I was purging my closet from my old high school duds.
In that closet, I had a few too many denim skirts most of which were of questionable length.
I had been noticing more and denim skirts around last spring popping up on a few bloggers I follow. I thought the idea of the denim skirt being a “thing” again was cute but just not for me.
I noticed most of these skirts were a little bit longer and a heavy longer fabric (midi skirts here’s looking at you!) on my smaller frame I just didn’t see in my cards.
More recently, I felt the itch to really try the trend for myself.
I mean, my previous collection of micro denim skirts were from this Americana brand.
I happily discovered this lovely skirt in the sale section (yay!) for wait for it……… $15.
Yup, you read that right.
The overpriced Abercrombie that my parents loathed of yesteryear was not found on my trip.
Once I realized the price I quickly scanned the rack to find a size that
A. would be form fitting but loose enough to actually breathe in and
B. was an appropriate length for an almost 30 year old to wear.

I will say, I am very pleased with my purchase and envision this skirt getting a lot more wear than I had originally planned.
Funny story about these photos: these were snapped after brunch and after I
splashed some oily huevos rancheros juice on my shirt. Now on to the dry cleaners to rescue it.
Happy Friday :)

I totally know wha you mean - I had several denim skirts and the lengths are nothing I would wear now. But now you are making me want to get a pair. This outfit is so cute!
