Park Güell

It is crazy to think my European vacation happened all way back in October!
The reason it has taken me a bit to post is because I literally didn't know where to start.
We did as much as possible with our short week in Spain & Portugal that it is hard to try to summarize for you in a short post that wouldn't seem overwhelming.

So I didn't take too many outfit photos due to the fact that
1. Spain/Portugal's 70 degree weather in October felt warmer than I expected
2. I only packed with a carry on so...outfits were limited.

WHERE I WENT
Barcelonetta
A great little area next to the Mediterranean Sea witch shops and eateries.
This is where we started our trip with a great meal on the beach while sipping Sangria.

The trek to the park is a little intense (steep hills) but totally worth it.  This amazing park not only has amazing views of the city but it also has stunning architecture by Antoni Gaudi.

La Rambla
The perfect place to grab some gelato, do some shopping (large retailers or local artists), and eat endless paella.

The Gothic District
We literally got lost in this area. You can walk around for hours just admiring the beautiful Gothic archways and buildings. BONUS: You totally feel as if you are walking through Diagon Alley.

Taking a gondola ride to this castle/park was amazing.
You get amazing views of the city on the ride up but also and are also close to the Olympic park.

WHERE I STAYED
We stayed in Kabul, a hostel off La Rambla.
This was my first experience staying in a hostel.
The location was great (a little sketchy at night) and in terms of sleeping quarters/conditions I think they were as expected.
I would recommend the hostel for anyone looking to stay in one but personally I would opt for an Airbnb or hotel.

WHAT I MISSED
Sagrada Familia. This is probably the biggest tourist attraction in Barelona and I somehow missed it.
Crazy I know but it is at the top of my "must-see" list for the next time I visit the city.
