I am back (and burnt!) from a short weekend away in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

I ran away to the Outerbanks to celebrate a coworkers' Bachelorette party this past weekend.

Most of the Bach weekends I have been on have been a bit on the crazier side 

(Vegas and Miami anyone??) 

Becasue of that, I was pretty excited for a more relaxed atmosphere and to actually see a beach.

I have felt that the last few weeks have been a little chaotic and I needed a little relaxation/time

 away from normal home distractions.

Weird fact: When I went to Miami in March, I didn't even go to the beach. Crazy I know...

We totally took advantage of the sun and the sand while we had the chance.

If you remember, I wore this cover up here as a normal dress 

but finally got to wear it as the actual cover-up it was.

The stretch in the off the shoulder dress was pretty prefect.

It made it easy to get ready at the beginning of the day and was forgiving at the end of the day 

when my back and shoulders were a sensitive red/purple color.

I also finally got to use my Lilly Pulitzer beach bag that I received from the 

Georgetown store opening event.

I am obsessed with this bag for so many reasons.

The print is so fun and the size of the bag is perfect.

It really fits anything you could want to have with you on the beach.

I made sure not to over pack mine because I wanted to make sure I could "close" the top 

to try and keep out as much sand as possible.
