oversized fall.

The chilly weather is here and I have mixed feelings regarding it.
I love cozy oversized sweaters (like the Madewell one above!) with a a pair of booties for any occasion in the fall but I am starting to miss the warmer temps.
I normally collect sweaters at the end of the season since they become so discounted but I am hunting for at least 1 or 2 to add into my rotation this season.

This outfit seems like such a long time ago but these pictures were only taken 1 month ago!
The weather has gotten quite a bit colder since these were taken in Richmond, VA but I am still hoping for a few more warmer days.
I was in Richmond for 2 of my good friends birthdays last month and it was a great week filled with old and new friends, lots of wine, and some dancing.
I know we won't have the same weather for our other reunion next month for my birthday, but here is to hoping!

As of October 31st I will no longer reside in my first solo apartment.
It is all a little bittersweet and still doesn't seem quite real
(maybe because no packing has occurred yet?!)

Living roommate free has been such a great experience that I am so thankful to have had and
though I have thoroughly enjoyed my space and freedom, I am excited to have roommates again.

And before I move into my new space, I wanted to share with you some snaps of my place now and how I styled my space.

Cheers to the next chapter!

A little over a month ago, I went to the Veuve Cliqouet event at Pinea attached to the W in DC.
The weather was the perfect cooler temp that breaking out my distressed denim was the right decision.
I paired them with my eyelet J.Crew peter pan collar top (last seen here) to add a feminine touch.
The night was full of champagne, friends, and great music.
I can't wait to attend the next event when it comes into town!
