mara swim.

bathing suit: mara hoffman | shorts: abercrombie

If you follow me on Instagram ( @avizastyle ) or Snapchat ( @avizacard ) you know that this past weekend I was in Southern Virginia at Lake Gaston with 27 friends.
Yes you saw that right, 27 people in one house.
It sounds crazy, I know, but this was actually our 3rd annual lake trip with roughly the same group of people.
Truth be told, I don't really love large group outings (I blame this on failed immature group beach trips in college). So many people confined to one space is a bit overwhelming, but this group is pure perfection.
No drama, just fun in the sun (and plenty of mimosas!).

I scored this suit at the Mara Hoffman online sample sale at the beginning of the summer for a crazy price but have only had the chance to wear it in Vegas (seen here).
Luckily, I wore the monokini almost the whole trip because it was just so comfortable and hid my insecurities so I was free to frolic around.

Even though the summer is winding down, have you tried the one-piece trend yet??

A few weekends ago I made a late night impromtu road trip to Richmond, VA.
Luckily, I already had a bag packed with a few things that included this romper.
I will say the only other romper I own I wore here (but I still have not altered the straps. typical.) and I have steered clear mostly of this type of garment.
I've always been envious of the girls I've seen look so chic and effortless wearing only one article of clothing.
I was just browsing the mall one day after work and just peeked into the H&M and seriously fell in love with the print first.  I mean, who doesn't love  a good palm print?!
I have yet to find a great fitting romper but I really loved what I saw in the green leaves on the fabric that I decided to test it out by trying it on.
Boy am I glad I did.
It seriously fits like a glove and I could not be more obsessed with this thing.
Day or night it just works.
This is obviously what I wore to brunch at The Village Cafe on Sunday morning but check back soon to see how I styled it for a night out on the town.

what's in my truffle & GIVEAWAY

I have been traveling so much recently that I really have had to stay organized to get through all the hectics weekends.  One way I stay organized in my bag is with my Truffle.
What is a Truffle?!
Only the best throw-and-go bag ever!

I am a slight trinket/everything hoarder in my bag so having a bag in my bag to
I throw everything in my bag and with that little habit quite a few things everything gets lost.
I snagged the Small Clarity Pouch bag to try and get my life a little but more organized and I can say that it has helped greatly.

My must haves I normally store in my Truffle are:

1. Bobby pins. These are number 1 for a reason because I never leave the house without them & I can never seem to find them in times of need.  Instead of living at the bottom of my bag now, my truffle ensures that they much easier to locate in a time of need.

2.  Portable phone charger.  Ask any of my friends, I am obsessive with ensuring that I have a fully charged phone so I always carry a backup battery with me.

3.  Burt's Bees.  I only buy Burt's because it is seriously so the best chapstick in my opinion.

4.  Lip shine.  You never know when you just need a little pop of color on top of your Burt's...

5.  Notebook & markers.  I keep a little notebook and pens so I am able to write down any outfit/blog/random thoughts that pop into my brain.

6.  Business cards (& card case)  I design my own cards on Moo.com and always carry them in a  case to hand out whenever I can.

7.  Ear buds.  I love grocery shopping while listening to music so I try to keep a pair (in the case so they won't get tangled!) in my bag at all times

8.  Gum.  I mean you always need fresh breath.

On onetruffle.com they have a ton of different sizes both in clear (TSA approved!) & and solid material options.

Now for the fun part!
I love my Truffle so much I wanted to give one of you guys one too!
The contest will end next Monday night & I will announce the winner on my blog post next Tuesday.
No go on and enter below!!!

black orange.

| top: loft (last worn here)| shorts: banana republic | sandals: joie
| necklace: stella&dot |

This really is the easiest outfit.
I love the high neckline contrasting with the length of the shorts.
But I what actually sells this outfit for me is how I can just throw on this top & bottom and really look put together and ready for any summer activity.
I know summer is slowly drawing to a close, but I know this outfit will get quite a few more wears out of me.

birchbox.

At the end of June I recieved my FIRST Birchbox.
I know I know, I am late to the Birchbox party, but I found some gems in my first box that I really love and I am excited to share with you all.
Keep reading to see my review!

WHAT I LOVED...

As I am climbing up the 20's ladder, I have become more and more obsessed with beauty products, especially anything eye related.  When I first opened my box, I immediately washed my ace and put this concoction on.  After a few minutes I felt my eyes and couldn't believe how soft they felt!
This stuff is amazing and I have been using it religiously for the last month.
Get this stuff people!

This sunscreen feels like a light whipped mouse with a slight tint.
The airy feel of the sunscreen makes it undetectable on your skin.
I can't speak to how well it works as your main form of sunscreen since I wear an SPF moisturizer I didn't feel those affects.
I would recommend it as a little pop of color versus the normal white SPF for the remainder of your summer days.

This stuff is uh-mazing!
You can feel the tiny scrubbers when you pour it into your palm and they really do work wonders.
I felt like I had new skin after I lightly scrubbed my face for about a 3 minutes.
I have never been too big into exfoliating but I have officially been converted into an exfoil-aholic.

NOT A FAN OF...

I am a solid deep deep black eyeliner kind of girl.
I like crisp solid lines and this liner didn't deliver that.
In terms of the waterproof aspect, I layered my normal eyeliner on top (for that dark look I can't leave the house without), so I cannot say that it has great lasting properties.
So for all of you ladies that like a softer chalkier look to your eyeliner this is for you.

While I don't hate this product, it is not my absolute favorite.
The cream is a hard solid in the container so it is a bit hard to get out.
The amount that you can get out goes on smooth and moisturizes the skin though I don't think I would put it on my face.

Thanks to Birchbox for sponsoring this post.

elliatt.

| dress: elliatt via ifchic | bag: loeffler randall | heels: zara |

I have been loving white this summer because I have found so many great white pieces, and this white & blush dress is no exception.  The loose but flattering silhouette is perfect for so many summer functions (except weddings!).
The hemline and mid-tier pleat subtly accentuates all the right places.
Sorry I keep rocking this Loeffler Randall bag but it really does go with everything...
