#VADarlingReal28

Something I have been wanting to do on this space is give you guys more insight into my real life.

On this blog I share perfectly styled and photographed outfits but most of that is not in real time.

I wanted to do something to give you guys some insight to what I wear on a real day to day basis, so I decided to come up with #VADarlingReal28.

Everyday in February I will be sharing what I am wearing that day, good or bad.

I hope you can get some real everyday inspiration but also I hope this motivates me a bit more to get dressed when pictures aren't being snapped.

Though I have shown you more dressy work attire here, here, and here, I normally keep it more casual and comfy.

I try and mix together different pieces to make getting dressed for work as fun/interesting as possible.

Though I describe most of my work wear as "old man style" it really is my default took for most of my work days.

masquerade.

This past weekend I attended a black tie masquerade birthday party with my boyfriend and a few friends.

I was excited to find a dress for the party and obviously turned to RTR to find the perfect dress like I've done here , here, here, here, here, and here.

I originally had my eye on a different dress, but ended up going with this Jill Jill Stuart dress and I am so happy I did.

I did not want to send it back.

The dress was so comfortable and was the right amount of different that I was looking for.

We danced the night away and I did absolutely nothing on Sunday because of it.

Turtlenecks are one of those things that I never thought I would wear ever again. 
Then I did. 
And I'm obsessed.
Though this is the first time I have worn it on this blog, I have been sporting it everywhere possible.
This white and black striped one I'm wearing really goes with everything, isn't too thin, and is really soft.
You will be seeing it again :)

I can't believe January is almost over.  
I've been so caught up in life & work that I have been neglecting this little place.
After a few weeks off I am ready to get back into my routine and back on blogging track.

Sorry for the absence guys! 

I took the beginning of the year to really relax & focus but I am back and I am ready to get back to the blog and you guys 100%.
