Here in Virginia, we have been having abnormally warm weather (it was 70 on Saturday).
These warmer temps made me swap out my black jeans for white ones.
I added the cream sweater for a monochromatic look plus I love the subtly chevron pattern on the fabric.
The black cross body (under $25) with the fringed zipper is roomier than it looks ( I fit my Instax plus my phone and card wallet ) and so versatile you can wear it with anything.
I topped the outfit off with the red plaid blanket scarf (only $10) so you would know that this was a "winter-y" outfit despite all the white.

This outfit has motivated me to break out more white this winter versus my go-to black,

a.viza travel: travel outfit

alleyway in La Barceloneta, Barcelona, Spain

| jacket: last worn here | sweater: banana republic | tee: c/o refine boutique |
| denim: current/elliott | booties: rag&bone |

It's really hard to summarize my visit to Barcelona & Lisbon and even crazier to think I jetted off 2 months ago!
It was such an amazing trip that I really haven't known where to even begin!
The architecture, streets, people, food and of course the wine were all amazing.
To say I fell in love would be an understatement.
Both Lisbon and Barcelona were amazingly beautiful, yet both were so different from one another.

Since my friends and I decided to travel with just a carry-on (more on that next week!), I made sure to pack & travel in items I could re-wear on our 9 day trek.
(I will say that I underestimated the heat - October 70's in Spain sure felt warmer than October 70's in Virginia!)
This was my "travel outfit" to Spain, to Portugal (& 6 hours in the airport), and then back to DC.
The layers were perfect for the chillier nights and airports, and allowed me to peel items off while walking around.
My jeans were comfortable, but really matched everything I owned.
My booties were not the simplest of items to walk miles in but they were the bulkiest shoes I packed, so I wore them on the plane to save room in my bag.

Travel outfit tip: comfort & efficiency!

More to come about my trip!

poncho.

 | poncho: Loft | pants: c/o Spanx (on sale!) | flats: Everlane |
| tee: J.Crewbag: Tory Burch | sunglasses: RayBan |

I am still on the fence if I am totally on board with this trend: the poncho.
I see other lovely ladies wearing their ponchos so effortlessly.
They never not look like they are wearing over-sized smocks like they have some some extra pounds to hind.
I am not sure if I am pulling it off, but I believe this poncho is the closest I will come to those ladies I envy.
I love the soft fabric and how it is oh-so warm yet not too bulky.
The pattern also reminds me of an over-sized scarf WHICH when you think about it, isn't that what a poncho is?

side note: how are these Spanx waxed denim my first pair of treated denim?!

fun fact: that I used to have a dog named Poncho (r.i.p. little buddy)

sweater, button down, culottes : c/o Old Navy
bag: Tory Burch | heels: Rebecca Minkoff | sunglasses: RayBan

When Old Navy reached out to me to style a pair of their culottes I gladly accepted the challenge.
Culottes have been the trend this season I have been eager yet afraid to try.
I am only 5'4" so anything that makes my legs/body shorter I am always a little hesitant to try.

I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised with the fit (and price!) and luckily Old Navy had great pieces that complimented the cropped pants.
Opting for culottes is a fun and trendy way to spice up your work wardrobe.
Adding this bright colored cropped sweater over a simple patterned top is classic with the right amount of pop.

I am glad I discovered this new silhouette to add into my work wardrobe rotation!

70s vibes.

| bodysuit: threadsence | skirt: zara | shoes: steve madden | sunnies: similar |

I have been on the hunt for affordable OTK boots similar to the Stuart Wietzman 'Highland' boots.
I had been searching for awhile and when I spotted these Steve Madden ones I knew that they were it.
Lord & Taylor had a great sale a few weeks back so I had to scoop them as a birthday gift to myself.

For my birthday last weekend, I knew I wanted to wear the boots and wanted to pair them with this awesome lace up bodysuit.  To finish off the outfit I knew I had to wear my a-line mini and my circled sunglasses to perfect this ultra 70's inspired look.

styling notes: I also love wearing my OTK boots with jeans

new age.

It is crazy to think that another year has come and gone.
Would you think I was crazy to say that I feel as though I have been 28 for awhile now?

For me, my 27th year held a lot of unexpected turns; good and bad.
Not that I am much of a life planner, but this year has come to a close in a very different way than I would have expected from last November.

Even though things have concluded in an unexpected way, I am excited for the future and all the fun adventures ahead of me.

And how can I not be excited when I have had all of these lovely ladies in my life for so long!?

camel coat.

| jacket: c/o shein (under $35!!) | turtleneck: j.crew | denim: current elliott via ifchic
| otk boots: steve madden "gorgeous" | bag: tory burch |

When I recieved this jacket in the mail last week I thought :
"Ahh! What a great coat! Too bad it is too warm to wear right now since the weather has been so warm!"
Well guys, my bubble has been popped and it is a freezing (literally) in the mornings now.
I am still in denial that December(& my birthday) are quickly approaching.
I am a little reluctant to acclimate to these chilly temps, however chic coats, like this one from SheIn, do help ease the transition.
SheIn offers tons of affordable fashionable pieces (like this jacket worn here).
The sizes do vary from piece to piece so READ THE MEASUREMENTS
My trick on ensuring I picked the right size with no measuring tape?
Grabbed my best fitting blazer (mine is from J.Crew) found the sites measurements for the size I own & compared the measurements.
