It snowed yesterday, but on Saturday the weather was BEAUTIFUL.
Sunshine, 60's, and no wind called me and a few friends to go to Georgetown for lunch on the waterfront.  
Now if only the weather would stay nice so I could enjoy this view more often.

Like my post title and outfit suggest, Spring weather is pretty spotty this year.  
With a foot of snow one day and 60 degrees the next, it feels like the spring will never ever come.
Any day that break into the 50's, I grab my trusty polka dotted tights and put them under my spring inspired outfit to make it just a tad bit warmer for this weird weather. 
 NOW only if it would stay warm enough to wear this outfit sans tights.

Confession: I rarely put too much effort into my work outfits.
Minimal effort or thinking yet looking polished is really my goal when dressing myself for work.
To achieve that goal, I stick with classic pieces with something fun thrown in.
I normally go for a printed bottom (sometimes blazer!) and then a solid top.

I took a less than 24 hour trip home this past weekend.
It was mainly filled with family bonding, but I did manage to sneak away for an hour or so with 2 close friends to a family friends winery that just opened.

Warmer weather, wine, and good friends & family was just what I needed.

 I had to break my shopping ban to snag this awesome skirt that I found at Lord & Taylor a few weeks ago.  Can you blame me?!
I am only 5'4", so when I tried this beauty on and it hit perfectly around my knee I knew it was fate.
The faux leather is just the perfect twist to the ultra-girly skirt for me.
